    • Description: Artificial intelligence is growing by leaps and bounds. It's no longer science fiction anymore. Lots of AI tools can serve as your own personal assistants--answering questions, helping us write text, create images, speak more effectively, and more. Matt will discuss 20 AI tools that will help you right now in education.

  • A Book of Swords and Fated Mates: Understanding Romantasy

    • Presenter(s): Jennifer Hendzlik, Jessica Lawrence
    • Description: If BookTok is to be believed, romantasy is the only genre worth reading these days, but what exactly is it? Come join the discussion and learn what is and is not romantasy; the good, bad, and ugly of the genre and what authors and series your patrons are clamoring for!

  • Create a Culture of Reading
    • Presenter(s): Terri Ramos
    • Description: Creating a culture of reading in your school or library is a matter of concentrated effort, but it doesn't have to be difficult. Learn a variety of displays, events, lessons and philosophies for creating an inclusive culture of reading in your building for all of your patrons. If lunch room talk and water cooler conversation can include constant reference to what we watch on Netflix, why can't it also include what we are reading lately?
  • Digital Inclusion Programming in Libraries

    • Description: This session will outline ways that libraries can be the bridge across the digital divide for their community members. Participants will learn how the Floyd County Public Library is closing the digital divide in Floyd County, Indiana through their computer classes, Digital Navigator program, and more!
  • Indiana 211 - Connecting to Resources Within Your Communities

    • Description: In this session, attendees will be given an overview of Indiana 211, what resources are available in our statewide database and how Indiana 211 can be used to assist people within their communities. We will also share the Community Engagement tools that can benefit them in their work.

  • Indiana Humanities Author Showcase: Marabai Rose

    • Presenter(s): Marabai Rose
    • Description: Presented by Indiana Humanities, stop by Grand Hall for a showcase of an award-winning author to discuss what they've been working on lately, their writing process, and other author topics. The showcase provides an opportunity to engage with authors in an intimate format! 

  • Library Dream Technology: What is Your Dream Tech?

    • Description: Come to the NICCL IT Roundtable to chat with like-minded staff about what is going on in the library world. Share something that you heard another library is doing. Ask questions of other attendees about some technology issues that have been on your mind. Or just come and brag to other libraries about your technology and let us learn about what you are doing.

  • Project Delivery Methods for Library Capital Projects

    • Presenter(s): Marc Griffith, Lisa Lintner
    • Description: Educational session on the public works project delivery methods available to libraries as identified by state statute. Session will outline the general processes of each delivery method, pros and cons of each method, and practical feedback through a Q&A session with Westfield Washington Public Library and Carmel Clay Public Library about the methods used for their projects.

  • You Don't Have To Have All The Answers: Exploring Empowering Management

    • Description: We often think that the person at the top is solely responsible for the success or failure of an organization, but library managers don't have to have all the answers. Instead, a great manager can cultivate teams that accomplish more than one person--even a superstar library manager--ever could. Begin exploring how you can start to empower the people you manage to greater heights by embracing authenticity, autonomy, and individuality in this engaging session. During the session, participants will explore how to become a more authentic leader without getting too personal with their team, discover strategies to cultivate autonomy among the people they manage, and examine how to embrace the individuality of each member of a team.
