ILF Education & Professional Development (LEUs & PGPs)
Last updated: May 13, 2026
The Indiana Library Federation (ILF) supports library professionals by providing events and programs that qualify for Library Education Units (LEUs) and Professional Growth Points (PGPs).
Certificates of Attendance
ILF provides a downloadable Certificate of Attendance for individuals who participate in ILF events and programs.
- The certificate serves as proof of attendance and participation
- Certificates do not list the number of LEUs or PGPs earned
- It is the attendee’s responsibility to track and report earned units to the Indiana State Library
ILF strongly recommends using the ILF Events Mobile App at all events to track sessions attended and the number of units earned.
2026 Certificates of Attendance for LEU's:
AISLE Chat Attendance Certifications
DEIJA Turning the Page Webinar Series Certificates
January 27 – Turning the Page Webinar
IPLA Public Library Directors Webinar Certificates
Conference Attendance Certifications
Important: LEU and PGP requirements are established, managed, and audited by the Indiana State Library (ISL). ILF staff are unable to assist with questions related to ISL requirements or reporting processes. Please contact ISL directly for assistance.
How to Document Your LEUs
- Complete and sign the Indiana Librarian Conference Form.
- Calculate your earned LEUs based on sessions attended:
- LEUs are earned hour-for-hour for eligible sessions longer than 30 minutes
- 90 minutes rounds up to 2 LEUs
- 2.5 hours rounds up to 3 LEUs, and so on
- Attach session synopses for each session attended. Synopses must include:
- Session title
- Description/content
- Length of session
- Presenter(s)
Conference programs or agendas usually contain all required information. Copying and pasting is acceptable.
- Save a copy of your registration confirmation as proof of attendance.
- File all documentation with your LEU records. Do not send documentation to the State Library unless you are notified of an audit.
You do not need a certificate from ILF or your employer to earn LEUs. Documentation is only submitted if requested during a random audit.
Academic & K–12 Library Professionals
Due to the wide variety of reporting requirements across institutions, academic and K–12 library professionals should follow their local or administrative PGP reporting guidelines.
ILF Certificates of Attendance may be used as evidence of participation and are valid for both LEU and PGP reporting.
