ILF 2026 - 2030 Strategic Plan

The Indiana Library Federation (ILF) Board of Directors has approved an updated Mission, Vision, and four Core Pillars to guide the organization’s work from 2026–2030. 

This framework reflects ILF’s commitment to supporting libraries and library workers while positioning the association—and Indiana libraries—for a strong and sustainable future.

The Indiana Library Federation (ILF) unites, empowers, and advocates for libraries and library workers to advance learning, equity, and community well-being.  

Our Core Pillars 

ILF’s work from 2026–2030 is grounded in four core pillars that shape decision-making, programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts. 

  • Empower: We strengthen the library community by inspiring our members and championing the profession. 
  • Relationships: We build influence and support for libraries through connection, collaboration, and advocacy. 
  • Belonging: We create a professional community where every library worker feels welcome, respected, and supported. 
  • Awareness : We share the story of libraries to expand understanding of their impact.
